The CGA Educational Programs Committee performed a survey in 2003 to better understand the educational needs of the CGA membership. The survey results helped the committee to identify specific target audiences, and indicated the need for educational messages geared toward the agricultural community. As a result, the CGA has developed an educational campaign promoting the “Dig Safely” message within the agriculture community, and has made this campaign available for use by all CGA stakeholders.
Campaign Materials Overview:
The materials available for use are FREE. Adequate white space has been made available for the insertion of a company logo and/or one call center number.
The print ads are available in various sizes for use as flyers, bill stuffers, postcards and newspaper/magazine ads. These ads are camera ready and useable by Mac and PC based computer systems. The ads are also converted to several file formats for ease of use.
Artwork for a brochure has also been made available with a blank panel for company or one call center customization. This brochure has also been designed to be a self mailer.
A brief PowerPoint presentation has been designed for use by members of the CGA. A general overview of excavating outside the scope of normal farming or ranching activities and the encouragement to “Call before You Dig” is the basis of the presentation. The template has also been included for customization of the campaign.
Those who are unable to download materials from public websites many contact the CGA to receive a CD of the material. Please direct any questions to the CGA office at 703-836-1709.
